Kraków has rock pubs in and around the Old Town, small music bars in Kazimierz, independent concerts in Zabłocie and larger clubs around Kamienna and the student campuses. The right choice depends on whether you want a bar playing rock or a ticketed live show.
This guide separates dedicated rock and metal places from venues with a wider programme. The listings were checked against venue information and event programmes on 28 September 2026. Follow the linked venue or organiser before travelling: a concert listing confirms a particular event, not a promise of live music every night.

02The Old Town and Its Western Edge
The central options extend beyond the Planty. Rajska, Piłsudskiego and Batorego are west of the Old Town; Re and Jazz Rock Cafe are inside it. The Main Square also has broader cultural and restaurant options, described separately below.

06Closed Venues and Places Under Reconstruction
These places are part of the city’s venue history, not current recommendations for a night out. Rotunda is listed here as a venue undergoing reconstruction, rather than as permanently closed.
Forum Przestrzenie and Hala Forum
Forum Przestrzenie has ended its operation at the former Hotel Forum. Its own website is now a retrospective. Hala Forum was a separate operation at the same site;local reporting records its closure in May 2025. Neither belongs on a current bar itinerary.
Tytano and Zet Pe Te
The former Tytano complex at Dolnych Młynów 10 included Zet Pe Te. The club’s final event was on 19 September 2020, according toMuno’s retrospective of Kraków clubs.
Klub Fabryka
The former club at Zabłocie 23 held its final party in December 2015, as recorded in the sameMuno retrospective.
Rotunda
The venue on Oleandry is undergoing reconstruction.Local reporting on the work does not make it a current concert destination. Wait for an official reopening announcement and programme before planning a visit.
