Rock Bars in Miami: The Complete Guide

Rock and Metal Bars, Brewery Gigs and Live Music Venues

Taro SchenkerSeptember 28, 202614 min readMiami, United States

01Introduction

For rock bars in Miami, start by choosing the kind of evening you want. Churchill's and Las Rosas have current band programmes, while The Corner advertises specific metal and punk nights. Lincoln's Beard offers another route into punk and indie concerts. Miami Beach adds a small live-music bar, an indoor theater and an open-air concert venue.

This guide covers 15 current places across Miami and nearby Miami-Dade communities. Miami Beach, South Miami, Coral Gables and Doral are labelled in their own right, rather than described as neighbourhoods of the City of Miami. Entries distinguish bars from concert venues and point to the official programme or the organiser's event listing. The former Gramps location in Wynwood is separated into history.

Choose the event as well as the venue

Sources were checked online on 28 September 2026. A current venue can programme rock one night and something different the next. Use the linked listing for your date, and check the bill, ticket and entry details before travelling. Announced dates below are examples from the programme at the time of checking, not guarantees that a show cannot change.

02Little Haiti: Live Venues and Brewery Music

These three venues publish Little Haiti addresses. Churchill's is the first calendar to compare for punk or metal; Magic 13 adds a brewery setting and Spanish-language rock nights; ZeyZey covers live acts and dance events. They offer different programmes, so pick the music before deciding which address to visit.

Churchill's Pub

5501 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33137 · Little Haiti

Churchill's Pub is a dive bar and live music venue with rock, punk and metal on its programme. Its current event listings include heavier bills as well as indie rock, experimental music and open-mic events. For a visitor whose first priority is a band rather than a general club night, this is a useful calendar to check at the start of planning.

The autumn listings give specific reasons to look: Bobby Peru, Inscribed and A Plague of Angels appear on the 2 October bill, with Aversed and Pathogenic listed for 11 October. Other dates cover comedy, films and different kinds of music. Choose the individual show rather than assuming the entire week follows one style. The address below is the current pub, and the official site links directly to its ticket listings.

Magic 13 Brewing

340 NE 61st Street, Miami, FL 33137 · Little Haiti

Magic 13 Brewing combines a taproom and beer garden with live bands, including rock in Spanish. That makes it a different choice from a concert hall: the brewery setting is part of the evening, and its music calendar sits alongside the bar's other events. The official website gives both the venue address and the current weekly programme.

The September programme checked for this guide included JUke and a night of Spanish-language rock classics. Those are examples of the music offered, not a promise of the same bill every weekend. If you want guitar music, find the named act or tribute on the calendar before choosing a date. Live-band karaoke also appears in the programme, so distinguish a participatory night from a band's own concert.

ZeyZey

353 NE 61st Street, Miami, FL · Little Haiti

ZeyZey presents live concerts and dance nights, including indie and alternative music. Use its separate events calendar to distinguish the two formats. A listing for a live act and a listing for an indie-themed dance party can appeal to the same listener, but they are different reasons to visit.

For example, the calendar checked here lists Electric Feels as an indie rock and electronic dance party on 3 October, followed by Night Tapes on 8 October. Other entries include electronic and Latin performers. This is a useful option if your rock interests overlap with alternative pop and dance music; it should not be read as a dedicated metal venue. The venue's own address places it in Little Haiti, at a separate site from nearby Magic 13.

03Allapattah and Wynwood

Las Rosas and Savage Labs give two distinct choices in this part of the guide. Las Rosas has current alternative and heavier concert bills. Savage Labs includes tribute performances and songwriter events alongside DJs. Both need a date-specific check, especially if you are looking for a live band.

Las Rosas

2898 NW 7th Avenue, Miami, FL 33127 · Allapattah

Las Rosas is a bar and live venue with alternative rock and heavier concert bills. Its current listings matter more than older accounts of its closure: the bar returned, and the autumn programme again gives rock listeners a reason to visit Allapattah. Follow the venue's official social account and the named promoter's ticket page for the specific show.

The 10 October Limited Fanfare anniversary bill lists Palomino Blond, Smelter, Sunday Driver, Heavy Drag and The Personal Demons. A September bill brought together Eyehategod, Whores. and No/Más. These examples show the range from alternative guitar bands to heavier music without implying that every night is a metal night. Check which room or event your ticket covers and use the address on the current listing.

Savage Labs

2451 NW 5th Avenue, Miami, FL 33127 · Wynwood

Savage Labs hosts live music and DJ events, including rock tribute shows. Its Wynwood programme includes both original performers and nights built around familiar songs. The website separates its events from private bookings and publishes a description of each public bill, which is the useful starting point for deciding whether a night matches your taste.

The autumn calendar includes Zendatta's tribute to The Police on 24 October. It also advertises a house-band jam and a songwriter evening, alongside a Cheo DJ event described as disco, house and Latin music. That mixture is why Savage Labs belongs here as a venue to check for a particular show. A Police tribute is a clear rock option; the venue name alone does not tell you what music will be playing on another date.

04Downtown: Rock Nights and Concert Venues

Downtown offers a cocktail bar with named rock and metal events, a mixed live venue and a larger outdoor stage. These are separate formats. The Corner's Bad Reputation listing is the direct rock-night option; The Ground and the amphitheater are places to compare when an announced concert interests you.

The Corner

1035 N Miami Avenue, #101, Miami, FL 33136 · Downtown

The Corner is a cocktail bar whose Bad Reputation nights include metal, classic rock and punk. It is a useful downtown choice when the event matches your interests, with music nights sharing the calendar with other activities. The current listings are specific enough to help you choose without relying on a general description of the bar's atmosphere.

The 22 October Bad Reputation anniversary advertises vinyl DJ sets covering metal, 1970s and 1980s rock, and punk, plus two live bands. Its separate Night Shift listing describes goth, post-punk, gothic rock and industrial music. Neither listing establishes an every-night music policy. Look for the event name and date, especially if you want a band rather than a DJ set, and use the calendar to see what else is scheduled.

Programme and music information; official venue page.

The Ground

34 NE 11th Street, Miami, FL 33132 · Downtown

The Ground is a live music venue whose stated programme includes rock alongside electronic music, hip-hop and soul. Its official ticket link leads to a separate calendar, so start there rather than choosing from an undated list of past bands. The venue is part of the Club Space site, whose website also lists other rooms and their events.

Pay particular attention to the room name. A listing for the Terrace or Floyd is not automatically a concert at The Ground, even when the wider complex shares an address. This guide includes The Ground for its live-music remit and expressly stated rock programming. Choose it when a specific bill interests you; the broader electronic programme is substantial, and the current venue description does not promise guitar music on every date.

Programme and music information; official venue page.

FPL Solar Amphitheater at Bayfront Park

301 N Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33132 · Downtown

FPL Solar Amphitheater at Bayfront Park is an outdoor concert venue with a mixed touring programme. It belongs in the larger-show part of a Miami music plan, with tickets and arrangements tied to the announced performance. The official site identifies the venue within Bayfront Park and provides a map and visit information.

Rock has a place in its concert history, including the venue's own archive entry for Queens of the Stone Age. That archive is not an upcoming-show announcement. At the time of checking, the homepage promoted Steve Lacy's October date, illustrating the broader range of bookings. Look at the current schedule if you are comparing a touring show with one of the small bars here, and check the seating or lawn area attached to your ticket.

Programme and music information; official venue page.

05Miami Beach: South Beach and North Beach

Miami Beach has three entries here, each with a different role: Kill Your Idol for a small-bar music night, the Fillmore for touring shows, and the Bandshell for open-air concerts. The addresses identify South Beach and North Beach separately. Choose a venue and performance before making the rest of your evening's plans.

Kill Your Idol

222 Española Way, Miami Beach, FL 33139 · South Beach, Miami Beach

Kill Your Idol is a Miami Beach bar with live rock and alternative performances alongside other events. It is the small-bar option in this section, distinct from the concert programmes at the Fillmore and Bandshell. Use its official social account for current announcements and check the performing artist's listing when planning around a particular band.

Recent artist listings document Blood Orchid's July show and Out of the Ashes in September. The local PureHoney calendar also carries the bar's current events, including music, karaoke and other nights. That supports including it as an active venue while keeping the recommendation tied to the bill. Do not assume that a familiar rock-bar name means every evening is a rock concert; look for the act and date before setting out for Española Way.

The Fillmore Miami Beach

1700 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139 · South Beach, Miami Beach

The Fillmore Miami Beach presents touring concerts, including rock and alternative acts, at the Jackie Gleason Theater. Its official calendar is the useful reference for a larger indoor show on the Beach. The programme checked for this guide includes Of Monsters and Men in September and Jack White in November, alongside other musical styles and non-rock events.

Read the ticket details as well as the artist name. The venue explains that general admission can involve standing and seated areas, with access to the standing pit affected by capacity. You should therefore check the arrangement for your chosen performance rather than assuming every ticket means the same experience. The official visit page also provides accessibility contacts and the venue's own box-office information, useful when a particular seating need affects your booking.

Miami Beach Bandshell

7275 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33141 · North Beach, Miami Beach

Miami Beach Bandshell is an open-air concert venue with rock, alternative and other music in its programme. It gives a different kind of night out from a bar or an indoor theater. The official calendar includes Black Country, New Road on 9 October, while other dates range across several musical styles and community events.

Check the event page for its seating format. The Bandshell's FAQ distinguishes seated shows from standing general-admission events, and says the open-air space has a canopy with shows scheduled rain or shine. Those are venue-specific details, not rules for every outdoor stage in Miami. The address is in North Beach, separate from the South Beach venues above; use the full address when making plans rather than treating Miami Beach as one concert location.

06South Miami, Coral Gables, Doral and SW 41st Street

These entries broaden the choice beyond downtown and the Beach. Lincoln's Beard has a current punk and indie concert programme, while Titanic and Copper Blues describe rock bands in their schedules. Bougainvillea's offers an ongoing live-band bar programme. The municipalities and full addresses below matter when comparing the options.

Lincoln's Beard

7360 SW 41st Street, Miami, FL 33155 · SW 41st Street

Lincoln's Beard combines a brewery and bar with punk, indie and other live concerts. Its event page gives named guitar-music bills alongside the brewery’s other activities. The October listings include Agnostic Front, Angel Du$t and Step 2 This, followed later in the month by Soccer Mommy, Snail Mail and Scarlet Rae.

There are other formats too: the venue advertises a Smiths and Morrissey tribute, a metal-themed House of Heavy night and ordinary bar events. A band concert, tribute and themed party are separate choices, even at the same address. Check the individual ticket link for the full bill, age requirement and doors information. The official event page uses different age labels for different shows, so there is no single admission rule to apply across the whole programme.

Programme and music information; official venue page.

Bougainvillea's Old Florida Tavern

7221 SW 58th Avenue, South Miami, FL 33143 · South Miami

Bougainvillea's Old Florida Tavern is a South Miami bar with live bands and a wider programme of DJ and themed nights. Often shortened to Bougies on its own website, it is a bar-led option for visitors who want a live-band evening without starting from a touring concert. The venue currently advertises bands at weekends and supplies its calendar and social links.

The lineup displayed on the venue's own site includes Fire Brigade, whose official page identifies the group as a rock band. The bar also describes karaoke and DJ nights. Treat that as a reason to check the latest lineup, rather than to assume a particular genre from the day of the week. The venue is in South Miami, with its own address below. Keep that distinction in mind when comparing it with the downtown and Miami Beach entries.

Titanic Brewery & Restaurant

5813 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Coral Gables, FL 33146 · Coral Gables

Titanic Brewery & Restaurant hosts classic rock, blues and other live bands in Coral Gables. It is a brewpub and restaurant, so the setting differs from a dedicated gig room even when the evening centres on a band. The official music page gives named acts and describes their music, which is more useful than a general promise of live entertainment.

For October, the published programme includes Rough & Ready playing classic rock and Prickly Dogfish performing covers and original material. Other listings cover blues and country, with more rock bands in November. This makes Titanic a practical calendar to compare if you enjoy familiar guitar songs as well as original music. Choose a band night from the music page; the same venue also advertises karaoke and seasonal events.

Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen

3450 NW 83rd Avenue, Suite 224, Doral, FL 33122 · Doral

Copper Blues Rock Pub & Kitchen in Doral presents live rock and cover bands within a wider bar and restaurant programme. Its website labels this branch Miami, but the postal address is Doral. Use the branch-specific events page so you do not confuse it with the company's Arizona venues or with a different event at the same location.

The September schedule describes Laura & The Kameleons as a rock and country band, and Radio Stereo as playing covers across rock, pop, funk and Latin styles. Salsa and country events also appear. The rock connection is therefore supported, while the daily programme remains mixed. Look for the act's description when picking a night, particularly if you want rock songs rather than a broader dance or party set.

07Practical Notes for Choosing a Night

Check the ticket for the specific event

Admission rules are not uniform across this guide. Lincoln's Beard's current listings use different age labels for different shows, while the Bandshell directs visitors to each event's ticket information for children. Read the full event page before booking for a mixed-age group. A bar's general description does not establish the entry rules for a concert taking place there.

Lincoln's Beard event information; Bandshell visitor FAQ.

Check standing and seated arrangements

The Fillmore explains that general admission can include standing and seated areas; access to the pit depends on capacity. At the Bandshell, some shows use reserved seating and others use a standing setup. If a seat is important to your visit, use the specific seating description and contact the venue before purchasing. Do not infer the layout from a different performance at the same place.

Outdoor venues have their own arrangements

The Bandshell describes itself as an open-air venue covered by a canopy and schedules shows rain or shine. Bayfront Park's amphitheater publishes separate visit information and a venue map. Check the instructions for the venue you have booked, including any event updates, rather than transferring one site's policy to another. The brewery gardens and outdoor concert venues in this guide should not be treated as interchangeable settings.

Use the full venue and room name

The Ground is listed alongside other rooms on the Club Space website. Copper Blues has several branches, and its Miami branch is in Doral. These are practical reasons to check the complete venue name and address on a ticket. The addresses in the entries above are more useful for that purpose than a general area label or a remembered venue name.

08History: Gramps in Wynwood Is Closed

Gramps (Wynwood)

Former address: 176 NW 24th Street, Miami

Gramps was a bar and live music venue in Wynwood; this location closed in January 2026. It is included here as history, not as somewhere to visit for a current show. Miami New Times reported the owner's closure announcement, and Axios subsequently confirmed the venue had closed. Older live-music guides that still direct you to this address should not be used as evidence of present operation.

09Frequently Asked Questions

Where should I look for punk or metal in Miami?

Start with the current programmes at Churchill's Pub, Las Rosas and Lincoln's Beard. Their listings checked for this guide include heavier bands, punk or alternative guitar acts. The Corner is another option when its Bad Reputation event is scheduled. These recommendations refer to named programmes; they do not mean every event at these venues is punk or metal.

Are there rock options in Miami Beach?

Yes. Kill Your Idol hosts live rock and alternative performers, while the Fillmore and Miami Beach Bandshell include guitar acts in larger concert programmes. The first two are in South Beach and the Bandshell is in North Beach. Use the linked event information and full address to choose between them.

Where can I find rock covers or tribute shows?

Titanic and Copper Blues describe rock cover bands in their current schedules. Savage Labs lists a Police tribute, and Lincoln's Beard advertises a Smiths and Morrissey tribute. These are particular bookings, so check the date and performer rather than assuming the same tribute is a permanent residency.

Are all 15 places dedicated rock bars?

No. The selection includes bars, breweries, a concert theater and outdoor stages. Entries explain the relevant music and identify mixed programmes. The Ground, ZeyZey and the larger concert venues are especially dependent on the event you choose. For a band night, use a live-act listing; for a themed party, check whether the music is performed by bands or played by DJs.
