ABOUT

A long-standing basement club in Soho, described as the "ultimate Soho sheebeen," with decor largely unchanged since the 1960s. Known for its legendary club nights.

SIGNIFICANCE

A stalwart of Soho's decadent nightlife for over 30 years, drawing crowds for live music and DJs. Gaz's Rockin' Blues is London's longest-running one-nighter club (hosted by Gaz Mayall since July 1980, originally at Gossips, moved to St. Moritz in November 1995). The club's cave-like atmosphere has hosted bands like Drenge. It represents a continuity of alternative music culture in Soho.
