July 4-5, 1976: The Ramones played The Roundhouse then Dingwalls. These gigs are legendary for "speeding up" the London punk scene—members of The Clash and Sex Pistols were in attendance, spurred to play faster and harder. A notorious fight outside Dingwalls in 1976 involved The Stranglers (JJ Burnel) and members of The Clash/Sex Pistols, highlighting factionalism between Pub Rockers and Punks.
