A brief but transformative venue in rock history. Before they were the house band at the Whisky a Go Go, The Doors played The London Fog, just west of the Whisky. Playing to empty rooms for $5 a night.
It was here that Jim Morrison developed his stage persona and the band composed "Light My Fire" and "The End." Though only operating for about a year, The London Fog was the crucible where The Doors forged their identity. Location now small retail storefront.
House band format. Rock and psychedelic.
