Hidden in a cul-de-sac in the aristocratic St. James district, "The Scotch" was the apex of "Swinging London." It replaced the Ad Lib Club as the primary watering hole for the Beatles, Stones, and fashion elite.
September 24, 1966: On the evening of his UK arrival, Jimi Hendrix asked to join the house band on stage. His impromptu performance left British rock royalty—Beatles, The Who—stunned, announcing a new musical paradigm. Here Hendrix met Kathy Etchingham, his muse. The secluded booths facilitated social stratification with Beatles and Stones holding court at their own tables. Now operates as private club/events.
