Key venue for early Guns N' Roses, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Hole, The Dream Syndicate, and Green Day. Featured in Chris Cornell's "Can't Change Me" video. Severely damaged in the 1994 Northridge Earthquake and red-tagged. The Hastings Hotel was demolished; site near Hollywood/Vine Metro.
