A "Wonder Theatre" built in 1929—an atmospheric masterpiece designed to look like an Italian garden under a starry sky. One of few major concert venues in the Bronx.
Throughout 70s and 80s served as major concert venue for The Kinks and Jerry Garcia Band. In 2000s briefly reopened to host The Killers and The Weeknd. After stint as World Changers Church, vacated in 2020. As of 2025, designated landmark in search of permanent tenant.
